He won't be there when the sky falls down. I know this. I know him.

He won't even be there the next time I make a simple mistake, the next time I choose the wrong words, the next time I actually need him. He doesn't respond to pleas, I doubt he ever will.

But he's here now; Icy kisses to slow my speeding heart, precision to combat the chaos. He's here now and I don't ask for more.
